Chantal Nchako is an Award-winning actress and director celebrated for her dynamic range and compelling performances.

A renowned trailblazer, Chantal holds a BFA from Howard University, an MFA from the University of Southern California (USC), and studied Shakespeare with John Barton at the British American Drama Academy at Oxford, England. She was the first recipient of the USC Dramatic Arts full scholarship and the first USC MFA student to star as Ella in Sam Shepard’s Curse of the Starving Class at the Tony Award-Winning Williamstown Theatre Festival.

Raised in Douala, Cameroon, Chantal’s multicultural heritage informs her work as an actor, humanitarian, and entrepreneur. She is a resident faculty member at Silva Arte Danza e Musical Theatre Academy in Siracusa, Sicily and the founder of Choobiz, a luxury shoe line made in Italy. Fluent in English, Italian, and French, Chantal’s global perspective continues to enrich her creative pursuits.

ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE

Chantal is an artist resident faculty member at Silva Arte Danza e Musical theatre academy in Siracusa, Italy. She believes that art is an elevated experience that investigates the complexities of life which ultimately leads you to freedom and longevity.
